My name is Patty and I own and operate PJ’s Bookkeeping Services Ltd. I currently have an office open in Wainwright Alberta.
I have been doing books since 1987 and have worked with Sage 50 since it came out as Bedford Accounting in 1987. I have owned and operated a business in my home town of Annapolis Royal, NS doing books for fishing companies, Bed & Breakfasts, Restaurants and other small businesses. I can start a small business and help set them up and show them how to manage an accounting program. I have been called upon to clean up books per request with Canada Revenue Agency. Will work with CRA on behalf of client and for incorporated business work with appointed accountant.
In 1999 there was a major fire in one of my main clients and all was lost to fire. This company had 5 sets of books and with the help of year end numbers from the accountant and copies of paperwork I was able to get all companies balanced and ready for the next year end.
In 2007 moved to Alberta and in 2009 started my business in Wainwright, AB. At this time I added doing personal Tax returns to my services. Have expeience in the oil batch, rental business, grain operator and grocery store. Business was growing until an opportunity to go back East to run a grocery store. We jumped at the chance of a new challenge and being closer to our parents and siblings. Left behind in Alberta my two adult sons which was hard.
When grandchildren started to arrive we (my husband & me) made the decision that it was time to make yet another change in our lives. I have moved back to Sherwood Park to be closer to my family and starting up my business again. As soon as our business sells back east my husband will join me.
In my experience as a bookkeeper there is nothing that I have not been able to solve. Look forward to a challenge and love what I do and meeting new people.
